Here's Becki's answer:
If your cat cannot come outright and say to you "Yes, please pierce my ears" ... then don't. Cat's are not people. They don't have a choice in whether or not you put them in pain (because we all know, piercings are painful). So make the (right) choice for them.
If you REALLY want to see a ring in your cat's ear ... get a clip-on!
